Lost and found

Dogs

If you find an injured or stray dog, please contact your local council dog warden during normal office hours or your local police station at all other times. Dog wardens telephone numbers can be found in your local telephone book under the appropriate council. Contrary to popular belief, the RSPCA does not collect stray dogs.

The dog warden for East Staffordshire is 01283 508663

The dog warden for South Derbyshire is 01283 221000

Cats

If you have lost your cat or found a stray cat, contact us on 01283 569165

Also contact the RSPCA regional communications centre on 0300 1234 999 and your local Cats Protection, local radio station and Pet Search.
Don't forget that cats are very inquisitive creatures - they can easily get locked in neighbours' garages and sheds, so put up posters in local shops and notes through neighbours' letterboxes.

Other small animals
